What is the OCPP protocol?
OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) is an open standard communication protocol that communicates between electric vehicle charging equipment (EVSE) and central systems. This protocol was developed by the Dutch "Charging Device Operating System Developers Alliance" (OCPP Forum) in 2009 and has gradually evolved into an industry standard for commercial application communication for EVSE on a global scale.
Among them, OCPP1.6 is an important version of OCPP, which realizes the basic functions for communication control and monitoring of charging stations. The OCPP1.6 protocol supports charging electric vehicles, controlling the charging process, protecting charging safety, and also supports real-time data transmission and feedback, such as charging amount and power.
Advantages of OCPP1.6 protocol:
Openness: The OCPP 1.6 protocol is open and anyone can use it for free.
Flexibility: The OCPP 1.6 protocol can be customized according to different needs.
Scalability: The OCPP 1.6 protocol can be extended to support new features
