1. Operation Status of Public Charging Infrastructure In April 2025, public charging piles increased by 92,000 units compared to March 2025, with a year-on-year growth rate of 34.1%. As of April 2025, member units within the alliance have reported a total of 3,992,000 public charging piles, including 1,834,000 DC piles and 2,157,000 AC piles. From May 2024 to April 2025, the average monthly new public charging piles were approximately 85,000 units.   2. Provincial/Regional Operation Status of Public Charging Infrastructure   The top 10 regions in public charging pile construction—Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Anhui, Sichuan, and Beijing—account for 67.7% of the national total. National charging power is mainly concentrated in provinces such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hebei, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Shandong, Fujian, Henan, and Shaanxi. The power is primarily consumed by buses and passenger vehicles, with smaller proportions used by sanitation logistics vehicles, taxis, and other types of vehicles. In April 2025, the national total charging power was approximately 6.14 billion kWh, an increase of 270 million kWh from the previous month, with a year-on-year growth rate of 55.6% and a month-on-month growth rate of 4.6%.   3. Operation Status of Public Charging Infrastructure Operators   As of April 2025, the top 15 national charging operators by the number of piles operated are: Teld New Energy (766,000 units), Star Charge (672,000 units), Yunkuaichong (623,000 units), Xiao Ju Charging (240,000 units), Weijingyun (221,000 units), State Grid (196,000 units), Lvchongchong (122,000 units), Shenzhen Chediwang (105,000 units), Huichongdian (92,000 units), Southern Power Grid (90,000 units), EV Energy (79,000 units), Wancheng Wanchong (55,000 units), Weilan Kuai Chong (53,000 units), Kunlun Wangdian (50,000 units), and Junyuechong (48,000 units). These 15 operators account for 85.5% of the total, while other operators account for 14.5%.   4. Overall Operation Status of Charging Infrastructure  From January to April 2025, the increment of charging infrastructure was 1,247,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 22.5%. Among them, the increment of public charging piles was 413,000 units, with a year-on-year growth rate of 64.7%, and the increment of private charging piles with vehicle purchases was 834,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%. As of April 2025, the cumulative number of national charging infrastructure reached 14,064,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 46.3%.   5. Comparison Between Charging Infrastructure and Electric Vehicles  From January to April 2025, the increment of charging infrastructure was 1,247,000 units, and the domestic sales of new energy vehicles reached 3,658,000 units. Both charging infrastructure and new energy vehicles continued to grow rapidly. The increment ratio of piles to vehicles was 1:2.9, indicating that charging infrastructure construction can basically meet the rapid development of new energy vehicles.
